Discount codes on paid events
Create discount codes from Event Admin, then Tickets, then Discounts. Three kinds are available:
- A shared code everyone can use (percentage off or a fixed amount).
- A fixed-amount order code limited to specific ticket types.
- A batch of unique one-use codes you hand out individually.
The Manage codes dialog shows every code in a batch, who has used what, and lets you export unused codes for printing or emailing. You can pause a discount at any time and buyers immediately stop being able to apply it. A code can be embedded in a public link (for example ...?discountCode=STAFF20) so the field is pre-filled for the buyer.
Refund policy on your tickets
You can now set your own refund policy on each ticket type. Buyers see it on the event page before they pay, so there are no surprises.
Choose from: no change-of-mind refunds, refunds available until a date you pick, or “we’ll consider requests until X”. You can also write a custom policy in your own words.
Ticket Returns: the queued-refund flow
Buyers can request a return from their Purchase History. They only get refunded if someone else buys the seat before the event starts.
- Returned tickets are added back to the available pool seamlessly.
- The return link only appears when a return is actually available. If the event has started, the event is sold out, or returns are not enabled, the link is hidden.
- Clearer language at checkout explains what Ticket Returns means.
New Sales tab in Event Admin
A new Sales tab sits next to Tickets. It groups recent orders, sold tickets, the waitlist, the refund queue, and finance in one place. Recent orders and sold tickets have moved out of the Tickets tab so each tab does one job.
Hub-level Advanced features
In Hub Settings, then Advanced features, you can now turn on:
- Chat location messages: members can drop a one-off location pin in a chat.
- Album photo metadata: photos with GPS coordinates show a map in the album viewer.
Both default to off; enable them per hub if your community wants them.
Chat improvements
- Bulk Add groups: in a channel’s settings, you can now add Owners and Admins, Managers, all members, or all staff in one go.
- Event chats still auto-add ticket holders, validated attendees, and staff. The copy in channel setup is clearer.
- No more flicker on the chat list when you open a modal.
Photo albums
- Album viewer now shows a map for photos that have GPS data (when the Album metadata toggle is on).
- Albums that mix GPS and non-GPS photos no longer get stuck loading.
- You can set a location for the album itself.
- Public album links still load for visitors who are not signed in.
What buyers will notice
- An Invoice button on the ticket page links to the order they paid for.
- The “Payment and ticket terms” block at checkout is shorter and reads more cleanly.
- Calendar (.ics) links in ticket confirmation emails open and download properly.
- Cleaner refund and return messaging in confirmation and update emails.
Small but useful
- Hub banner and share cards: customise how your hub looks when shared on social.
- “Today and upcoming” on the home screen reliably refreshes after you create or edit an event.
- Members list defaults to newest-joined first.
- Bare-domain URLs (for example
example.com) are now accepted everywhere a link can go. They auto-prefixhttps://.
