Private tickets in invitations

  • When you send an event invitation or create an access link, you can now tick tickets set to Private invite only. The people you invite see exactly the tickets that invitation covers.
  • All active ticket types still leaves private tickets out, and now names them, with an Also include box for each one.
  • Invitations and access links now sits straight under Tickets in the event menu, and a private ticket’s Invite button takes you there.
  • On a private event, the first choice under Where is it sold? now reads All invitations, because that is how its tickets reach people.

Buying through an invitation

  • Someone signed in to Hubbaly who buys through your invitation is offered to join your hub at checkout: an open hub adds them straight away, and a hub that approves members sends you their request.
  • Checkout stops at what the invitation allows: Tickets per recipient for an emailed invitation, Maximum per booking for a link. Before, a buyer could pick more and then see an error. Set it to the number each guest may buy.
  • Invited buyers on a private event are no longer held up by a message saying the hub choice could not be loaded.

Private events stay private

  • The dates, tickets, bundles and files of a private or members-only event now only reach people who can open the event. Anyone else sees the same page as for an event that does not exist.

Behind the scenes

Google sign-in no longer writes the page someone was returning to into our logs, since that link can hold an email address or an invitation. If Hubbaly ever needs to go offline for a planned upgrade, you'll now see a page saying when we expect to be back.
