More room in busy sales, and new places go to the waitlist first

Hubbaly has more room during a busy on-sale, and places you add to a sold-out event are now offered to your waitlist before anyone else can buy them.

More room during a busy on-sale

  • Hubbaly can now use more of its computing power during a busy on-sale, so event pages, ticket lists and checkout stay responsive while many people buy at the same moment.
  • More purchases can now go through at the same moment, so fewer buyers are asked to wait their turn, and each purchase finishes sooner once it starts.
  • When a very large crowd buys at once, checkout still asks some people to wait and keeps trying for them by itself, as before.

Your waitlist

  • When you add places to a sold-out event, on its schedule, in its settings or while setting up a ticket, they are now offered to the people on your waitlist straight away. Before, the new places went on general sale first.
  • Every place that opens up is now offered to your waitlist first, however many open at once. Before, places were offered 10 at a time.
  • On events with several dates, places you add to one date are offered to the people waiting for that date first, including when you copy a ticket to more dates.
  • Purchases made through a waitlist offer now show in your waitlist activity and your event report, including how long people took to buy after being offered a place.
  • If an email offering someone a place does not go out, Hubbaly now sends it again by itself.
  • When a place is held for someone, their ticket on the event page now says A ticket is held for you and gives the time to buy it by.

Signing in

  • After several wrong passwords, Hubbaly pauses sign-in for that email for five minutes. Resetting the password now lifts the pause at once.
  • Trying to sign in with a passkey on an account that has no passkey no longer counts as a wrong try.

Behind the scenes

Background work such as scheduled emails now runs apart from the servers that answer buyers, and automated scanners are turned away before they reach Hubbaly. Photo processing now has a fixed share of the server, so a large upload cannot slow pages for everyone else.
