Complimentary tickets, in one step

Issuing a free ticket is now a single action, and it works even when every ticket type is sold out.

  • Click Issue complimentary ticket, choose who it is for, and send. No more creating a hidden ticket type or topping up stock by hand.
  • Comps never draw from your sale stock or the waitlist, so the people queuing for a paid place are not affected, and you can still comp someone into a sold-out event.
  • The guest’s ticket shows the real ticket type it matches (for example VIP or General Admission), not a generic label. If the event has more than one type, you pick which one the comp should match; single-type events need no choice.
  • If a comp would put you over a capacity you have set, you get a soft warning you can confirm past. There is no hard block.
  • Complimentary tickets are clearly badged across your Sales and Sold tickets views, and the refund controls no longer misfire on a free ticket.
  • A comp is non-transferable by the recipient, but an admin can reassign it to another member if it reached the wrong person.
  • Recipients need an existing Hubbaly account. The search lists current hub members, members-only ticket types can only go to current members, and a brand-new email with no account now explains itself clearly.

A public What’s New page

Hubbaly now has a public changelog so anyone can follow what is shipping.

  • A new changelog page presents release roundups with tags and proper dates, discoverable from the landing site and from inside Settings.
  • Follow along by RSS or Atom, and each release has share-ready preview cards and search-engine metadata.

Verify your email, and keep access

Account email handling got a thorough, friendly pass.

  • New accounts get a verification email without being blocked: you are signed in immediately and can verify from Profile settings.
  • If you mistype your email, such as gamil.com, Hubbaly suggests the likely fix rather than changing it for you.
  • Changing your account email asks for the right proof (password, MFA, or passkey) and confirms the new address by link. Google and email-link accounts that have been signed in a while now get a clean re-sign-in step instead of a dead end.
  • Reopening an already-used verification or change link now shows a success state, not an invalid or expired error.
  • A bouncing account email is flagged across the app with a link to fix it, and link-expiry lines read as a normal date and time.

For organisers and admins

  • An event with active tickets can no longer be unpublished by accident; you are blocked with a clear reason.
  • Joining a hub now requires acknowledging the hub’s rules first.
  • Reporting and reviewing photos is clearer: the moderation view shows the photo at a usable size, and a photo reported from chat now includes the image to review, not just the text around it.
  • Long staff role labels no longer overflow their space.
  • The email is bouncing banner is hidden from printed pages and admin CSV exports.

Small but useful

  • Campaign email preview text now wraps correctly instead of running off the edge.
  • Personal status indicators no longer error on unusual link parameters.
  • CSV exports are sturdier against unusual query parameters.

Behind the scenes

Adds a hidden per-event Complimentary ticket allocation with tier-snapshot fields on tickets, the content system and feeds for the public changelog, and the account email verification and bounce-handling flows; expands coverage across comp issuance, acceptance, reassignment, refund safety, and the admin sales surfaces.
