Ticket returns now see themselves through
The return-and-resale pipeline got a deep reliability pass.
- Returned tickets on sold-out events now sell through properly even when the ticket type has no limit of its own. The next person on the waitlist no longer hits a false Sold Out wall.
- Returns stay open as long as ticket sales are open, so multi-day events now accept returns during the event and a replacement buyer can still fill the place. Checked-in tickets are still excluded.
- Offer deadlines are more humane: people buying for a far-off event get a day or more to act, and overnight deadlines roll into the morning.
- A failed or abandoned checkout no longer costs anyone their place. The offer link keeps working, you can buy on the second try, and exactly one “your hold ended” email goes out when an offer truly expires.
- Closing the Stripe tab mid-purchase no longer locks you out of the event. The event page now shows a Checkout in progress panel with Resume and Discard actions.
- Pass to next person from a release email now lands on a focused confirmation page rather than the full waitlist dashboard.
- One person can no longer flood a waitlist: each email address can hold at most 20 active requests per event.
Queue pages you can read and use on a phone
Both queue pages (Waitlist Queue and Ticket Return Queue) were rebuilt mobile-first.
- A one-line “How it works” note, a thumb-friendly rail of status chips with counts, then the list. Everything fits on one phone screen.
- Statuses now use plain language like Awaiting holder approval, Offer live, and Refund paid, with a short description of whichever stage is selected.
- The event Tickets page header now links straight to both queues.
Times in emails now match UK clocks
Every time the platform writes out in ticket emails, reminders, Stripe checkout lines, signed documents, and event updates now renders in UK time rather than the server clock. A midnight Saturday event no longer appears as “11:00 PM Friday” in its reminder email.
Register-interest events are easier to run
- The Interest tab now has a Compose email update button that opens the email composer preset to everyone who registered interest.
- A new help guide explains exactly when interested people hear from you and how to move from collecting interest to selling tickets.
Photo dates now respect where the photo was taken
- Photos with camera timezone metadata now use that embedded offset first. A picture taken while travelling no longer gets shifted by the uploader’s current browser timezone.
- Photos without an embedded offset use the uploader’s browser timezone, then UK time as the fallback.
- Old photos from your library now keep their original date instead of registering as taken today: when a file carries no embedded date, its own modified time is used.
Private hubs now have honest app activity
Private hubs used to show public-visitor analytics that were permanently zero, making the dashboard look broken rather than quiet.
- Hub Insights now separates anonymous public-page reach from signed-in app activity.
- Private hubs show hub-open counts from signed-in members instead of empty public-reach sections.
- Album pages also count signed-in album opens, without storing who opened them.
Video upload states are clearer
- Uploads still sending to the video provider now say “Video uploading” instead of looking like processing has stalled.
- Small abandoned phone clips no longer sit around for hours as broken-looking “processing” cards.
- Missed or slow video-provider calls are now bounded by timeouts, so a provider stall should not hold an API request open for minutes.
Small but useful
- Album pages now show chips linking to the chat channels that save into the album.
- Replying to a photo, GIF, or video now shows a small thumbnail in the quoted bubble. Tapping the quoted part takes you straight to the original message.
- Fixed a direct-message glitch where a contact’s photo showed at the top of the chat but fell back to initials in individual messages.
- Editing a recent text message on mobile no longer jumps the chat viewport to an unrelated point.
- Chat is steadier on mobile: photos, GIFs, and videos no longer show a useless Edit action while they are still inside the text-message edit window.
- The Help Centre now has lifecycle diagrams for the waitlist and ticket-return pipeline, in light and dark mode.
