Smoother, more reliable chat

  • Opening a chat shows its name straight away, with messages appearing as soon as they arrive.
  • Sending a message keeps it in the same place on screen while you write the next one. If it cannot be sent, you get its text back above anything you have typed since.
  • Sharing a link sends your message straight away. If its preview card has already appeared while you were writing, it goes with the message; otherwise the card follows.
  • Link previews wait until you finish the address with a space or line break, or leave the message box. Editing a shared link updates its preview to match.
  • Reading older messages keeps your place as more arrive, including when you scroll up just after opening the chat. Names, pictures and date lines stay in place.
  • Coming back to a chat takes you to the newest messages if you were at the bottom. If you were reading older messages, your place is kept and the newer ones appear as you scroll down.
  • Finding an old message through search, or tapping a quoted reply, takes you to that message and highlights it.
  • Each sender’s picture sits beside their name at the top of their message. Tap it to see their profile preview. A video still uploading tells other people who is sending it.
  • Choosing someone from the @ list keeps you typing in the message box. An @ in a link or email address stays part of that address.

Easier ticket invitations and buying

  • Private ticket invitations take invited guests straight to choosing and buying their tickets. An invitation for one ticket selects it for them; dates and passes stay within the number offered.
  • People buying through a purchase invite can now enter a discount code under Before payment. Press Apply to see the new total, and apply it again if you change the quantity.
  • Before payment, Hubbaly checks the total shown on the payment button. If the price has increased, it shows the tickets, discount and new total and asks the buyer to agree.
  • Organisers offering complimentary tickets by email can see how many are still waiting to be accepted alongside those issued. View email invitations shows when each was offered.
  • Sending another complimentary invitation to an email address that already has one waiting for the same date or time asks the organiser to choose Send anyway or Go back.
  • Complimentary ticket links from an email open more reliably, showing the offer straight away whether or not you are signed in.
  • Opening an event reserved for a public hub’s members offers the next step to join or ask to join. If you have an invitation of your own, Hubbaly takes you to it.
  • Publishing a private event with no current invitations or tickets shows organisers No guests can see this event yet, with ways to invite people or change who can see it.
  • Every link in an email takes its reader straight to the destination, including Email settings and Unsubscribe.
  • Organisers can choose Off or Estimated opens in hub email settings. Campaign History shows delivery and, if chosen, an approximate number of opens. Test and essential emails carry no open tracking.
  • The email sent the day before an event to a ticket holder without an account is clearer and better timed. It now arrives once the QR code is on their ticket, with one button: Open your ticket. If forms still need completing, it says so and takes them there.

Dedicated staff permissions for Event shops

  • Organisers can give someone Manage Event shop to run the event’s shop, including items, choices, prices, stock, pictures and its Shop QR, and read purchases in Shop orders.
  • An organiser adds the shop to the event first. The shop permission covers that event’s whole shop; tickets, event settings and refunds stay with the people responsible for those.
  • Add Hand out Event shop orders if the person also hands items out or marks orders as sent.

Free choices and clearer setup in Event shops

  • Organisers can make a choice in an Event shop item free by setting its price to 0. Buyers see Free where the price would be, beside any paid choices.
  • A buyer taking only free choices reviews the order and presses Confirm order. With nothing to pay there is no payment page: the order is confirmed straight away, appears in Purchases and comes with a confirmation email.
  • A basket with both free and paid choices is paid for in the usual way. Limits and stock apply to free choices too, so Maximum per buyer is the way to give one free item to each person.
  • Setting up an item is clearer too: one still missing its Tax and selling check now says so on its card, and Finish setup opens the item’s form, where the check is the last step.

Photos and other pages

  • Visiting a hub’s Timeline shows its photos on the first visit. Load more lets you keep browsing tagged photos, reports, bans and admin logs.
  • Joining a hub fills Full name with the name you have just given, so you can keep it or edit it.

Tickets ready for use without signal

  • Completing a ticket’s required forms saves its entry QR for use without signal once your phone has read it.
  • Saved tickets show Forms needed if you still have forms to complete, or Reconnect to check if their form status is unknown. If a refresh cannot get through, the phone keeps the last status it received.

A door scanner that keeps going on a weak signal

  • On a weak signal the door scanner shows Checking… while it waits. If no answer comes within a few seconds, it checks the ticket against the list saved on the phone, so the queue keeps moving.
  • People let in this way show in amber as Queued (Pending Sync). Their check-ins are sent once the signal answers again, with nothing to press, and Undo Check-in takes one back before it is sent.
  • A saved ticket opens with its QR after a few seconds on a weak signal, with a line showing when it was last updated.

Behind the scenes

The work behind opening a chat is lighter, and Hubbaly's servers share the link previews they have fetched, helping conversations open sooner and shared links arrive with their cards.
