A new Home

  • Home opens with one card for the event that matters now: anything live, then today, then the next seven days. On the day it gives you the button you need, such as Show ticket, Open scanner for door staff or Add photos for photographers, and organisers get their event tools.
  • When nothing is on this week, that card shows new photos from an event you went to instead. A new Recent photos row lists the newest albums you can open.
  • Past events keeps your last three events, and View all opens the full list, which is also on your Account page.
  • Events on Home show the organiser’s latest update from the past week. Later lists three events, plus any you have a ticket for, with a button to show the rest.
  • Needs attention now includes feedback an organiser asked you for, and Things to do shows hubs with people waiting to join and recent events you worked that still need your photos.

Complimentary tickets

  • In an event’s Tickets tab, Issue complimentary ticket now offers Invite by email for up to 50 addresses, including people without a Hubbaly account. For a ticket type that covers several dates, choose one under Session covered. The event must be published first.
  • Each person gets a private email, signs in or creates an account on a computer or phone, looks over the ticket, then accepts or declines. Only an account verified with the invited address can accept, so a forwarded email cannot be used by someone else.
  • Tick Join recipients to the hub when they accept to make them members too. Members-only tickets always need this, and people see the hub’s rules, terms and any required details first.
  • You see a partly hidden address and whether each offer is pending, accepted, declined, expired or revoked, and can resend or revoke a pending one. For privacy, Hubbaly never tells you whether an address already has an account. Hub People can filter by Complimentary ticket under Join source.
  • Changed your mind about a complimentary ticket a member has not accepted yet? Open See all sold tickets and choose Withdraw offer. The place is freed straight away and the member is not notified.
  • Complimentary tickets now count under the ticket type they were given as, such as VIP, when you email ticket holders and in hub finance, and the waiting list no longer offers places they already hold.

Tickets, dates and waiting lists

  • A ticket that has already sold from the event’s shared capacity can now get its own limit in Edit Ticket, as long as it has one sales phase. Any new places are offered to its waiting list first, and so are places from any later increase.
  • Places held from the waiting list work in more cases: people outside the hub can buy a place held for them on a public event, and a held place on a ticket for one date no longer shows as sold out to the person it is held for.
  • Join waitlist on a sold-out ticket now works while other tickets are still on sale, and a members-only ticket no longer shows as sold out to people outside the hub while places remain.
  • You can now add or remove a date on an event that has staff or complimentary tickets, and add a single date to an event that already has dates.
  • Creating a ticket that is hidden from the event page now works on a published event.
  • Order details show a Guest badge for buyers who checked out as a guest and have not set up an account.

Staff and Event Day

  • At the door, a refunded or cancelled ticket now says so instead of Forbidden, and an offline scan of one moves to the scans that need attention instead of waiting to sync for ever.
  • Event Day shows Full event pass again for a whole-event ticket at an event without separate dates, and says Valid for this date rather than Valid today, which was wrong on other dates.
  • Staff invited again after being removed get a working staff pass, and a staff pass no longer counts as their own ticket, so they can still buy one or join the waiting list.
  • A staff invitation for a role you have since archived can no longer be accepted, and the staff and invites pages say so. People already working in that role keep their access.
  • The Staff page names people without a display name by their @username and no longer counts cancelled or declined staff as assigned. Staff now see only the edit options and links they can use.

Photos and albums

  • Large batches of photos no longer stop with a Confirm failed error. After a brief storage or connection problem, each photo retries on its own without uploading again.
  • A photo that cannot be prepared now says Could not prepare this photo, so you can remove it and upload it again instead of waiting on an empty tile.
  • New uploads are dated by when the picture was taken, not when the file was last edited, so albums sort correctly.
  • An album link on its own line in an event update becomes a small card with a thumbnail, the album name and who can see it. Anyone who cannot open the album sees a plain link, so private albums stay private.
  • Photo download emails now carry the hub’s own logo and colours, and Back on the download page returns you to the album you came from. A moderator’s message about a reported photo now arrives by email too.

Invitations and emails

  • Signing in or creating an account from a hub invitation now fills in the invited email address for you. You can still choose Use a different email.
  • You agree to the hub’s rules and terms after signing in, so your agreement belongs to the right account. Resetting a forgotten password, or finishing an account you started as a guest buyer, brings you back to the invitation.
  • People you added with Import your community who already have an account are now told in the app that their place is ready, instead of being sent round in a loop to verify their email. Large imports no longer time out before they start.
  • Purchase invites can only be sent once an event is published, and not for a private event, where only an event invitation lets people in. Anyone holding one for an unpublished, closed or private event is now told why, instead of being told it was sent to a different email.
  • Bought a ticket as a guest? The email about the event chat now takes you to set up your free account and then straight into the chat, instead of to a sign-in page you had no password for.
  • Event dates in ticket and event emails now read the UK way, such as Thursday 12 November 2026 at 7:00 pm.
  • Emails from Email Studio keep their text colours in Gmail and Outlook, where the Hubbaly Dark style could show dark text on a dark background.

Clearer pages and small fixes

  • Included usage in hub Settings now leads with your current allowance, shows what is used and what remains, says when it resets and lists the upload limits for each video.
  • More admin pages now write dates out in full, such as Expires 8 Oct 2026, and show statuses in words, such as Awaiting acceptance or No recipients.
  • Seller details now names what is still needed, and the Event shop’s payment warning links to the hub’s payment settings.
  • On phones, the sideways-scrolling tab rows in hub admin, event admin and at the top of a hub give one brief nudge, so it is clear there is more to see.
  • Verify email disappears from Profile settings once your email is verified, and Home no longer suggests Explore your hubs before you have joined one.
  • The separate Channel announcements notification setting has gone. Announcement messages now follow your Channel messages choice.

Behind the scenes

Email offers keep each address encrypted with a key of their own and never show it in the browser address bar. Photo previews now record which sizes are ready instead of asking storage each time, so a busy moment no longer stalls a gallery, and new monitoring flags any photo that fails to prepare. An independent review of complimentary and staff tickets means actions taken at the same moment no longer trip over each other, and the work that follows an acceptance, such as joining the event chat, now retries until it finishes. Photos shared in a chat and saved to its album now keep a permanent copy of their own. Album pictures and video posters now check who may see them each time they load, and removing a photo deletes all of its preview sizes. Confirmation emails for free tickets are saved with the order and retried until they go out, and ordering the same free tickets again gets its own confirmation.
