Hub joining at checkout, order alerts, and quicker ticket setup

Ticket buyers can join your hub at checkout, organisers get an alert and one details page for every order, and ticket setup takes fewer steps.

Join the hub at checkout

  • When someone buys a ticket, they can now join your hub at the same time. The option is ticked for them, shows your hub’s terms, and is easy to untick.
  • If your hub is open, they join straight away. If you approve members, you get a join request that shows it came with a ticket.
  • Guests who buy without an account get the same option when they set up their account afterwards.
  • Hubs with more involved joining rules still send people to the usual join page.

Order alerts

  • You can now get a push notification the moment someone orders, whether the tickets are free or paid.
  • Turn it on for an event under Sales. Hubbaly checks the device you are using, lets you send a test, and explains what to do if notifications are blocked.
  • Each organiser picks for their own account, event by event. Email summaries carry on as before.

One page for every order

  • Open any order to see the whole story: who bought it, who holds each ticket now, and every item, bundle, discount, and chosen time.
  • Payments and refunds are listed on the same page, and you can start a refund right there.
  • Free and discounted orders get the same page as paid ones.

Quicker ticket setup

  • Creating a ticket no longer ends with a separate review step, and when you edit one, you can save from any section.
  • Saved tickets are short cards you can scan quickly, each with its own Edit button and the price next to the sales window.
  • You can set the same capacity across several dates or times in one save.
  • Setting up a schedule by hand now begins with the first date and time and adds rows as you go.
  • Ticket sales details are easier to read on a phone.

Sales phases

  • Times for sales phases and publishing always follow the UK clock now, even if your device is set to another timezone.
  • Buyers always see the price of the phase that is on sale right now, and an open page updates itself when the next phase starts.
  • A ticket with limited places can split them across phases however you like, for example two now and one later.
  • When someone gives a place back while a later phase still has unsold tickets, the place waits its turn and then goes on sale at the final price.

Waitlists and smaller fixes

  • People waiting for any suitable time now manage everything on the event page: they can request more than one booking, see where they are in the queue, and take, pass, or leave from there.
  • When a place is offered, it appears on an open event page straight away, no reload needed.
  • Guest checkout now looks and works like member checkout, with the same ticket cards, ticket notes, and discount codes.
  • Buyers no longer get form emails for events that have nothing to fill in.
  • Sold out tickets simply say Sold out. Tickets briefly held in someone else’s checkout say that instead.

Behind the scenes

Each order alert is saved durably during checkout and delivered by a separate worker afterwards, so a busy on-sale never slows buying down or loses an alert. Busy event and hub pages also do less database work per visit by combining their permission checks and sharing more of their reads.
